Greetings Mineral County School District Parents and Families,

As we enter into the New Year 2022, I would like to begin by saying, “Thank you” for all you have done to support our healthy school campuses as we have welcomed students back to in-person learning this school year. The first part of the school year went by rather quickly, and by surrounding our students with caring educators, social and emotional supports in a safe and familiar school environment will remain essential to helping our students through these challenging times. MCSD remains committed to keeping our school doors open – as long as we can do so safely. As new variants such as Delta and Omicron evolve, we must all be extra vigilant in doing our part to help keep ourselves and those around us safe.

It is important that we continue to monitor our surroundings to take care of ourselves. Please continue to follow the recommendations from the CDC such as: wearing masks, social distance if possible, get tested and go to the doctor if you are not feeling well.

As always, please stay home if you test positive and report any positive cases to your immediate supervisor. Looking forward to 2022, we will no doubt face new challenges and uncertainties that may require all of us to be flexible. At this time, we are planning to resume full in-person learning when school resumes for students on Monday, January 3, 2022. I am looking forward to the opportunities and challenges of the New Year, as we will find ourselves as busy in 2022 as we were in 2021.

I hope the New Year is a good one for all of you. Please stay safe and healthy! Happy New Year 2022.
